Patrick Hahs is a wildlife biologist for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Pat also owns Kentucky HydroGrafx, a company that maps area lakes using side-scan sonar. Jack Devor, former professional fisherman, owns Jack’s Tackle Shop in Benton, Kentucky. Jack has been fishing for redear sunfish on Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake for about seven years. He appeared on the television show, Kentucky Afield; which is produced by the Kentucky Department Fish and Wildlife Resources; in May 2006. Be sure and stop by Jack’s Tackle booth at the West Kentucky Boat & Outdoor Show. It will be located right next to the seminar area.

Paul Rister is the Western District Fisheries Biologist for the Kentucky Department Fish and Wildlife Resources. He oversees the fisheries management for Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.  You can visit the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources at www.kdwfr.ky.us

Effective March 1, 2008 the daily creel limit for crappie at Kentucky and Barkley lakes will drop from 30 to 20. This seminar will highlight the data which is used to make such a regulations change along with creel survey information, and the regulatory process. There will also be time to answer
questions and talk about the status of other sport fish populations in these lakes.
