Terry Bolton
Terry Bolton

Terry Bolton of Paducah, Kentucky has been a professional fisherman since 1995.  A graduate of Murray State University, Terry’s favorite place to fish is Kentucky Lake.  He has finished in the top-ten in 46 FLW tournaments and has two tour wins, which were both on Kentucky Lake.  Terry is an excellent speaker and 2018 marks his ninth year in a row to present seminars at the show.  When not fishing, Terry enjoys duck hunting.

Terry will be teaming up with Dan Morehead to present:  Bass Techniques on Kentucky & Barkley Lakes.  Terry and Dan will be happy to answer any questions you might have about bass fishing in general or more specific techniques.

Adam Martin

Adam Martin is a Fisheries Biologist for the Western Fisheries District of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.

Adam will be giving a presentation on current status and outlook of black bass and crappie populations within Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.  The observed and potential effects of Asian carp will also be discussed. Early results of the Kentucky Lake Creel Survey will also be presented.

Dan Morehead
Dan Morehead

Dan Morehead of Paducah, Kentucky has been fishing since he was old enough to hold a fishing pole and knew at an early age he wanted to be a professional angler.   Dan has been fishing professionally since 1995 and has competed in almost 300 tournaments.  He has ten tournament wins and has 45 top-ten finishes.  He was named the FLW Angler of the Year in 2003.  His favorite technique is throwing a deep spinnerbait.  Dan and his wife Jennie have two children.  When he’s not fishing, Dan enjoys bow-hunting for anything he can get a license for.

Russ Garrett

Russ Garrett will be presenting a seminar on Crappie Fishing Tactics.  He will be talking about the best methods to catch crappie, anywhere at anytime.  Russ is from Rutherford, Tennessee and is life long crappie fisherman.  He has been fishing on the crappie tournament trails and has been a guide on Reelfoot Lake and Kentucky Lake.  Russ is the owner of Garrett Outdoors Custom Lures and Tackle.

Matt Quinn

Dave Stewart

Professional bass fishing guide, Dave Stewart, is one of the most recognized bass fishing guides in the Midwest.  He has been featured in many national and regional publications.  Dave has presented seminars at The Greater Philadelphia Boat, Sport and Travel Show, The Florida Great Outdoors Exposition and The Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show.  Dave has been presenting seminars at the West Kentucky Boat & Outdoor Show for ten years.  For more information about Dave visit his website at www.kentuckylakeguide.com.

This year, Dave will be presenting a seminar on Pre-Planning Your Day on the Water.  He will be discussing how to pre-plan your day to improve your success rate for catching bass.  Dave will also be providing tips that have made him successful for the past 22 years as a bass guide.  This will be Capt. Dave’s last appearance as a seminar speaker at the West Kentucky Boat & Outdoor Show as he will be retiring after next season — so come take advantage of his expertise while you can.

Josh Tompkins

Josh Tompkins is a Fisheries Biologist for KDFWR in the Critical Species Investigations branch. Josh formerly worked for the Illinois Natural History Survey where he acquired knowledge and skills in Asian carp removal techniques. He has also assisted with studies of several other fish species including; Crappie, Largemouth Bass and Muskie.

Josh will be presenting a seminar on Asian Carp Research and Removal Efforts in Western Kentucky.  The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is actively engaged in the issues surrounding the increasing Asian carp populations. This presentation will serve as an overview of research projects and removal efforts that KDFWR is conducting in western Kentucky, with an emphasis on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.
